WWE Wrestlemania Returning To New Orleans In 2018

WWE is bringing Wrestlemania back to New Orleans!

According to F4Wonline.com, Wrestlemania 34 will take place at the Superdome in New Orleans in 2018, just four short years removed from the last Wrestlemania in New Orleans. WWE has yet to make the announcement official, although a press conference is expected soon, perhaps as early as next Monday, since Raw airs from New Orleans on January 9th.

Naturally, WWE is looking to recapture some of the magic of Wrestlemania 30, which some fans claim to be the last truly great Wrestlemania from top-to-bottom, between the ascension of Daniel Bryan and the end of The Undertaker’s Wrestlemania Streak. Still, I would imagine the company will catch some criticism for returning to a location so soon. But it wouldn’t surprise me if New Orleans simply had a better bid out of the other potential host cities, especially if tax credit was on the table as an incentive. Either way, while location isn’t everything, here’s hoping Wrestlemania 34 is as good as the last Wrestlemania in New Orleans.
