WWE Smackdown Spoilers for Tonight’s Show: Cesaro and AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens

Tonight’s episode of WWE Smackdown is looking like a huge, action-packed show. Seriously, this might be the most action-driven episode of Smackdown in some time, with a lot of marquee matches for a two-hour show.

Case in point, the main event is a blockbuster tag team match pitting Cesaro and AJ Styles against Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns is also on-hand to confront Styles, who became the new No. 1 contender on Monday Night Raw. In addition, The Vaudevillains make their main roster debut against fellow NXT alums The Lucha Dragons, The Miz defends his newly-won Intercontinental championship in a rematch with former champ Zack Ryder, Apollo Crews makes his Smackdown debut against Curtis Axel, Natalya goes one-on-one with Summer Rae, and Dean Ambrose takes on Tyler Breeze. It should be a solid show tonight, at least from an action standpoint. We do get a bit more storyline advancement with the WWE title picture too, so it’s not as though the show takes place in a vacuum or anything. Anyway, if you’re anxious to know what happens, you can check out the full spoilers for tonight’s Smackdown below via Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online:

WWE Smackdown Spoilers for 04/07/2016:

-WWE Champion Roman Reigns opened the show by, once again, spouting his new catchphrase, “I’m not a bad guy. I’m not a good guy. I’m THE guy!” He went on to state his intention to defeat AJ Styles. This prompted Styles to come out and confront Reigns. They shook hands, and Styles congratulated Reigns on his win at Wrestlemania. However, Reigns told Styles that if he wants to be the champion, he’ll have to beat “THE guy!” He goes on to say that while Styles has defeated people all over the world, he hasn’t beaten him, and he never will. He then patted Styles on the shoulder and left to a mixture of cheers and boos.

-The Vaudevillains defeated The Lucha Dragons after hitting their finisher on Kalisto.

-Natalya defeated Summer Rae with the Sharpshooter. Women’s Champion Charlotte and Ric Flair did commentary for the match.

-Intercontinental champion The Miz retained against Zack Ryder after hitting the Skull Crushing Finale. Maryse interfered by removing a turnbuckle pad, which distracted the referee, allowing Miz to rake Ryder’s eyes and hit his finisher. Maryse cut a promo prior to the match, reintroducing herself to the WWE audience who might not remember her.

-Apollo Crews defeated Curtis Axel with the spin-out powerbomb.

-A series of backstage interviews and vignettes played on the Titantron: Baron Corbin declared the end of days has arrived, while Becky Lynch announced her intention to get back in the hunt for the women’s championship. Emma interrupted and teased her over her black eye. We then got another “Greetings from Puerto Rico” vignette for the returning Colons.

-Dean Ambrose defeated Tyler Breeze.

-Cesaro and AJ Styles defeated Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens after Styles scored a roll-up on Owens off a distraction by Sami Zayn. A pull-apart brawl broke out between Zayn and Owens.
