WWE Smackdown Spoilers for 04/14/2016: Sami Zayn vs. Chris Jericho, AJ Styles vs. Alberto Del Rio

The spoilers are in for this week’s WWE Smackdown, and some marquee, first-time matches are on tap for the show. In fact, I think many, if not all, of this week’s matches are first-time match-ups. That alone should be a reason to watch.

Seriously, Chris Jericho is going up against Sami Zayn, AJ Styles is taking on Alberto Del Rio, and we have two tag team tournament matches featuring teams who’ve just been called up from NXT. This has the potential to be an awesome show, simply from an action standpoint. Granted, half the crew is in Italy for the latest leg of WWE’s international tour. But I kind of love these stripped-back shows, since WWE tends to put on a better show when they have fewer options. This seems like a relatively straightforward, uncomplicated wrestling show, which should make for some good TV.
