WWE Hall of Famer Blackjack Mulligan Hospitalized
If you were wondering where Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas were on last night’s WWE Monday Night Raw, the answer is, unfortunately, a sad one. Turns out their grandfather, WWE Hall of Famer Bob “Blackjack Mulligan” Windham, has been hospitalized in Tampa, FL.
While it’s unknown at the moment what condition has caused the hospitalization, the 73-year-old Windham has had a long history of health problems, most recently being hospitalized due to a heart attack last June.
Windham is the maternal grandfather of WWE superstars Bo Dallas (born Taylor Rotunda) and Bray Wyatt (born Windham Rotunda), in addition to being the father-in-law of current WWE producer Mike Rotunda (who was a multi-time tag team champion under his own name, and as tax man Irwin R. Schyster). Windham is a legend of tag team wrestling himself, having held titles with Ric Flair, Dick Murdoch, and “Blackjack” Jack Lanza, with whom he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006.
We wish Windham a full recovery. You’re in our thoughts and prayers, man!
It’s between a rough week between this and Bret Hart’s prostate cancer diagnosis. Here’s hoping these guys stay strong, and that their families and loves ones are there with all the support they need.
