White Leucistic Giraffe Turns Heads In Tanzania (PHOTOS)
A rare leucistic giraffe calf has been spotted in Tarangire National Park in Tanzania. The white giraffe has been named Omo, a popular brand of detergent, by a local guide.
According to the Wild Nature Institute, the giraffe’s cells are not capable of making pigment but she is not an albino. She was spotted last year and everyone is excited that she’s been found again at the park. Here’s hoping that she isn’t targeted by poachers which is the general fear for a animal this rare.
