Ultron Is Unstoppable In New ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Trailer (VIDEO)
So Marvel took a unique marketing approach with its new trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Basically, the studio encouraged fans to tweet using the hashtag #AvengersAssemble. If enough people followed suit, Marvel promised to “unlock” the new trailer and premiere it to the world. Surely enough, it didn’t take that long for Marvel to hit whatever its nebulous threshold of tweets might have been, since the latest trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron has been released.
In the third official trailer for the film, Ultron essentially reigns supreme. Tony Stark reveals that he’s responsible for the creation of the villain, and vows to not let anymore people suffer from his mistakes. But that’s easier said than done, since Ultron looks downright unstoppable. Perhaps it’s just James Spader’s voice as Ultron vows to take away peoples’ hope first before utterly destroying them, but I find Ultron absolutely horrifying. And that’s an awesome emotion for a movie villain to inspire, particularly one whose face doesn’t seem terribly emotive (although, to be fair, it’s more emotive than it was in the comics). Also packed into this trailer is tons of really cool action (Quicksilver! Scarlet Witch! A free-for-all against Ultron’s forces! More Hulk vs. Hulkbuster Armor!), and some pretty amusing one-liners (from Captain America and Black Widow, naturally). Hell, we even get a tease of romance between two characters. It’s the most exciting trailer yet!
Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters May 1. But until then, watch the newest official trailer for the movie below:
