UFC Champ Conor McGregor Calls WWE Star John Cena ‘Fat, 40-Year-Old’ Failure (VIDEO)
UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor is doubling down on his war of words with the WWE locker room by targeting the company’s biggest star: John Cena.
In the interview, McGregor responds to criticism from WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. He calls the current WWE roster “dweebs” who don’t understand that this is real life, and that he has to fight another man without a script. Although McGregor expresses his respect for “the OGs of the game” like Vince McMahon and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, he states that what he’s saying isn’t a gimmick, and that this “isn’t trash talk, it’s true talk.” However, the harshest words were reserved for Cena: “The main guy, John Cena, he’s 40 years of age and he’s running around in a luminous orange t-shirt and a head band, talking about nobody can see him. We can see him right there. He’s a big fat, 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympia motherf****r.” Surely, WWE stars are likely to start responding soon, but until then, watch Conor McGregor deliver the scathing interview in the video below:
At some level, I wonder if he’s just working WWE. If anyone could work his way into a payday, it’d be Conor McGregor. Depending on how the rest of his MMA career turns out, I could imagine Vince McMahon tossing an insane amount of money his way for an appearance to build on the attention Conor’s tirades against WWE have been getting. Then again, it’s just as likely Conor really doesn’t give a damn, and just doesn’t think much about the current WWE roster.
