Tracy Morgan spoke in public for the first time since the deadly car accident last year that left him with brain trauma and killed his friend James McNair.

Tracy was on TODAY on Monday with his lawyer and talked to Matt Lauer.

“I can’t believe I’m here,” said Tracy and added: “I don’t remember my accident” when asked about what happened.

Two weeks after he came out of a coma, he learned of his friend’s death, which has left the comedian emotional to this day. Tracy said the he gets nosebleeds and headaches because of the brain trauma.

He said he wants to get better before he goes back to comedy and thanked all the people who had helped him during the accident.
