The X Factor UK 2015 Results: Who Advanced to the Finale? (VIDEO)
We’re down to the final four on The X Factor UK 2015 as the semifinals resulted in some solid performances and some disappointing misses! We’re just one week away from crowning a winner, so this is going to be an extra heartbreaking results show for whichever act is eliminated.
But which acts will land in the Bottom 2 singoff? Will previous Bottom 2 competitors Lauren Murray and Che Chesterman square off? Or will Louisa Johnson and/or Reggie N Bollie find themselves at risk of elimination for the first time this season? Which act will go home in fourth place?
We’ll be updating the post as results come in, along with videos to come as soon as they’re available:
THE X FACTOR UK 2015 RESULTS: SEMIFINAL ELIMINATION
Reggie n Bollie
I love Che and think he’ll put out a great album after this competition is over. But I’m Team Lauren on this one.
Lauren Murray sings “Fight Song”, and it’s pretty good. It’s not Lauren’s best vocal, since I felt there were pitch issues at certain points. But as the song builds, her passion really comes through. This ends up being one of her most emotional performances, as you can really see how much this Bottom 2 placement affected her. I like it when a person really brings out the fight in the Bottom 2, and that’s what Lauren did here.
Che Chesterman sings “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, and he might have just won himself a place in the final with this. Much like with Lauren, I thought this was one of Che’s most emotional performances. It certainly gave me goosebumps. His tone is really something else, and his voice is downright otherwordly when he’s on-point, as he was here. Put simply, this was a great sing-off, and the judges have a daunting task ahead of them.
Nick Grimshaw votes to back his own act and send home Lauren Murray.
Rita Ora votes to back her own act and send home Che Chesterman.
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini sends home Lauren Murray based on the sing-off.
Simon Cowell wants to let the public decide, and so he sends home Che Chesterman.
WE’RE GOING TO DEADLOCK!
The act with the fewest votes, and leaving the competition in fourth place, is…LAUREN MURRAY!
LAUREN MURRAY HAS BEEN ELIMINATED FROM THE X FACTOR UK 2015!
Lauren thanks Rita as well as everyone backstage for helping her. She’s emotional, but she holds it all together and ends on a smile and a positive note. I love that.
Ultimately, I’m really going to miss Lauren, especially because I wanted to see what kind of big-voiced epic showdown we’d be getting in the finale between she and Louisa. But I suppose the battle of the big voices will be between Louisa and Che. That said, I wonder what the odds are that Reggie N Bollie actually win this thing. I could really see it happening, particularly since it feels like the UK is looking for a different kind of popstar than your usual X Factor winner. But what will their winner’s single even sound like? Could Reggie N Bollie have a future Christmas No. 1 on their hands by this time next week? Could you even imagine what their victory celebration would look like? I’m rooting for Louisa, but honestly, I have no idea whom to even predict for next week. This is going to be an absolutely crazy finale!
But what did you think of the results? Sound off in the comments!
