The X Factor Australia 2016 Winner Results: Who Won Season 8? (VIDEO)

The results are in and we finally have a winner for The X Factor Australia 2016! But who was declared the winner at the Grand Final?

It all came down to Adam Lambert’s Under 22s, Isaiah Firebrace and Amalia Foy, Guy Sebastian’s Over 22, Davey Woder, and Mel B’s Underdog, Vlado. The final performances were pretty great overall, with Isaiah stealing the show with Beyonce’s “Halo”, Amalia having a moment with Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain”, Davey nailing “7 Years” by Lukas Graham, and Vlado earning his first standing ovation of the season with Ne-Yo’s “Closer”. But only the final two would perform winner’s singles, and we wouldn’t know who the final two would be until the Grand Final live decider. All in all, it was a pretty tense show, and it ended up being one of the better Grand Finals in the recent history of The X Factor Australia. I was impressed with each of the finalists, and I really felt like it could have gone either way, even if hindsight is now 20/20.

But which act won The X Factor Australia 2016? Get the results below:

Winner’s Interview

Isaiah may have been a predictable winner, but I would argue he was the right winner, of this final four. With that said, I think each of the four finalists have a lot to be proud of, as Vlado, Davey, and Amalia grew a lot during the competition. And that says a lot, considering where some of them started out already. All in all, while I was disappointed with the rushed nature of the season, and the early elimination of some of my favorites (I missed Natalie!), I think this was a pretty strong season. And I’m not sure I’d have said that last week, but when taking in the totality of the season, I think we had a lot of great talent and an interesting dynamic among the judges. Congratulations to Isaiah Firebrace, and to all of the finalists!
