The X Factor Australia 2016 Results: Who Advanced To The Grand Final? (VIDEO)
The final five competed in the semifinals on The X Factor Australia 2016, as we learned that, for the first time in the show’s history, we’re going to have four acts competing in the finale! But which four acts advanced, and which act came up short?
Judgments were all over the place this week, as tensions ran high among the judges. You had Guy Sebastian calling out his fellow judges for shrugging off the criticism of Adam Lambert’s Under 22s, arguing that they’ll never grow if they’re just told to ignore criticism. Meanwhile, all the judges were shading Iggy Azalea, who is now in a power position as the only unattached judge, meaning she isn’t bound to any one act in the Bottom 2 sing-off. (I’m not really sure how that’s any more powerful than usual, but it was treated as a pretty big deal) Of course, with just five acts left, we were guaranteed a bottom two with at least one act that has never been there before. All in all, it was a pretty exciting results show.
But which act ended up going home this week? Get the results below:

BEATZ is eliminated from THE X FACTOR AUSTRALIA 2016!
With Beatz eliminated from the competition, your Top 4 finalists for the Grand Final are…
Can’t say I’m surprised, although I was rooting for Beatz. They’d likely have been the fourth place finishers had they advanced, but I had been hoping they’d make the Grand Final when this season started. That said, the only way for that to have happened would have been for Beatz to be voted through by majority from the judges, because I imagine they’d have still gone home if it had been sent to deadlock. Still, the girls should hold their heads high. They went from being eliminated to landing in the Top 5. Not too shabby. And, honestly, given how much he’s improved, I don’t have a problem with Vlado advancing to the Grand Final.
If I had to predict a winner, smart money would be on Isaiah. But I actually think Davey has this one sewn up. One of these “good ol’ blokes you’d like to have a beer with” that they always put through has to win at some point, and since Mitchell Callaway, Justin Standley, Andrew Wishart and Jason Owen all came up short, I figure it’s time. But we’ll see next week!
