The X Factor Australia 2015 Results: Double Elimination Ends In Double Heartbreak (VIDEO)
This week was a first for The X Factor Australia, as the show had its first double elimination in seven seasons. This really added to the pressure of the Top 10 performance show, as it even appeared to affect the judges, who got into a massive, heated argument following Georgia Denton’s performance of “I’ll Be There”.
So which acts landed in the bottom three, and which two were unlucky enough to find themselves going home? Find out the results below:

The act with the fewest votes would be instantly eliminated, and would not compete in the sing-off. The result…
GEORGIA DENTON received the fewest votes and was eliminated from THE X FACTOR AUSTRALIA 2015!
This left us with a Bottom Two sing-off that represented an impossible choice for the judges, who were dumbfounded by two of the frontrunners landing in the Bottom Two. Frankly, I’m every bit as confused to see them here. Mahalia being at risk is a downright travesty, and there’s no way Jimmy should have been in the Bottom Two with Big T, Michaela, and In Stereo still in the competition. But then, this keeps up the trend of fairly baffling results so far this season, so I guess I shouldn’t be as shocked as I am.

Jimmy Davis sing “Rocket Man” by Elton John
Dannii Minogue voted to eliminate Jimmy Davis
James Blunt voted to eliminate Jimmy Davis

JIMMY DAVIS is eliminated from THE X FACTOR AUSTRALIA 2015!
It’s a real shame these two landed in the bottom, although I would argue their sing-off performances ended up outclassing anything they did on Top 10 performance night. In particular, Jimmy delivered his best vocal of the competition, at least since his stellar audition. That said, between Jimmy and Mahalia, I agree with the result we got. Jimmy just seemed like he was over this competition, and ready to just go home already. Hopefully, now that we’re down to just eight acts, the results will become less random and stunning. Then again, I wouldn’t really count on it.
What did you think of this result? Was it the right Bottom 2? If not, whom would you have switched out? Sound off in the comments!
