‘The Walking Dead’ Season Premiere Shocker Is Causing An Internet Meltdown
So The Walking Dead finally revealed who Negan’s victim was, and the internet is understandably grief-stricken. In fact, Twitter was basically a trauma center, where shocked viewers vented their horror, frustration, heartache and grief.
Naturally, this is going to be a pretty spoiler-heavy post, with reactions from Twitter that express just how deeply-felt this premiere shocker was. I’m still kind of reeling from it, myself. It’s a combination of having to say goodbye to two cast members, coupled with the sheer level of violence on display. Granted, a lot of us knew this was going to be violent going in, and the show even provided a disclaimer warning about the graphic nature of the moment that was about to happen. But even then, I’m not sure I anticipated the amount of gore we got. It left an unmistakably vivid portrait of the horror the characters faced.
But enough about my reaction. Let’s see how the rest of the world responded to The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere:
Following the death of Abraham at the hands of Negan, the tweets started pouring in. But it wasn’t until Negan chose a second victim, revealed to be Glenn, that the true meltdown occurred. Check out the tweets below:

Of course, these were just SOME of the reactions I found while perusing Twitter. As of press time, the premiere still hasn’t aired in the West Coast, so there’s still a lot of heartache to come. Needless to say, The Walking Dead broke a LOT of hearts tonight. And I can’t imagine this will be the last time.
What were some of the biggest reactions you found? And what did you think of The Walking Dead season premiere?
