‘The Voice’ Partners With Snapchat for Season 11 (VIDEO)
The Voice is broadening its social media profile for Season 11, as NBCUniversal has signed a multi-year deal with Snapchat to begin producing short-form content.
The Voice on Snapchat is a five-episode short-form series that will premiere on August 22. The series features coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and newcomers Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys, as they interact with user-submitted performance videos. According to Deadline, at least one of these contestant will appear on The Voice 11 season premiere on September 19. Viewers can check it all out on VoiceSnaps.com. The deal with Snapchat will also include an E! News-produced show titled The Rundown, which will be hosted by E! News correspondent Erin Lim. The show will focus on all the biggest stories in entertainment, and it doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility that The Voice might find itself getting coverage on the show, provided this season is as noteworthy as the last two (between Jordan Smith dominating in Season 9, and Christina Aguilera becoming the first female coach to win in Season 10).
