The Voice iTunes Charts: No Top 10 Placements, But Alisan Porter Hits #12

Last night was the first live show of The Voice 2016, but the start of iTunes voting didn’t create any Top 10 placements on the Top 100 Songs chart. With that said, the news wasn’t all bad, as Team Christina Aguilera artist Alisan Porter came in at No. 12 with her version of Janis Joplin’s “Cry Baby”.

But Alisan wasn’t the only person to earn a decent ranking in the Top 100 singles. Comeback artist and fellow Team Christina member Nick Hagelin is at No. 29 with his version of Rihanna and Mikky Ekko’s “Stay”. Hot on his heels at No. 30 is Team Blake’s Adam Wakefield, who made a mark with his version of Ray Charles and Willie Nelson’s “Seven Spanish Angels”. Rounding out the Top 40 is Team Christina’s Bryan Bautista, who comes in at No. 39 with his take on ZAYN’s “Pillowtalk”.

From there, the rankings are less than inspiring: Ryan Quinn came in at No. 63 with his take on Sam Smith’s “I’m Not the Only One”, followed closely by Joe Maye with “Long Train Runnin'” at No. 65. Right behind him is Katie Basden at No. 66 with “Georgia Rain”.

Farther down the chart, Mary Sarah comes in at No. 72 with “(I Never Promised You A) Rose Garden”, followed by Kata Hay at No. 84 with “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman”. And lastly, Justin Whisnant misses out on the Top 100 overall, as his version of “Here’s a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)” landed at No. 113. He joins Team Christina’s Tamar Davis and Team Blake’s Paxton Ingram as artists who failed to chart after last night’s show. It looks like it’ll be up to their respective coaches to offer them a lifeline, as each coach gets to save one artist for their team after America chooses the first two. Should be an interesting show on Wednesday.
