‘The Bachelorette’ JoJo Fletcher Rumored For ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Could The Bachelorette be heading to Dancing With the Stars for the first time since Trista Sutter competed on the show ten years ago?

E! News is reporting that one of the names under consideration for a spot on the 23rd season of Dancing With the Stars is JoJo Fletcher, the twelfth woman to star as The Bachelorette.

The formal cast announcement will take place on Good Morning America next Tuesday, August 30, ahead of the season premiere on Monday, September 12. Other names rumored as being under consideration include Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, former The Fosters star Jake T. Austin, and Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, who’s fresh off a scandal surrounding a fabricated robbery story in Brazil. As noted on E! News, this could be a possible path to redemption for Lochte in the eyes of the public. Then again, he could just end up being the first person voted off of the show. After all, America is voting, and judging scores can only take you so far, unless you do an absolutely amazing job. And being in shape doesn’t guarantee you’ll be a great dancer, by any stretch.

As for JoJo, having her on Dancing With the Stars would be a way for ABC to quell rumors of a break-up with Jordan Rodgers, who’s embroiled in a scandal of his own after his ex called him out on Instagram with proof of his past cheating ways. Ultimately, I do hope they work out, but I’m not sure remaining in the public spotlight on a show like Dancing With the Stars would be as good for their relationship as network executives probably hope. Obviously, I can’t really comment on their relationship, because I know nothing about what it’s like behind closed doors. But what I do know, simply from exploring blogs, forums and social media, is that it seems as though fewer fans are buying into this relationship than any non-Paradise Bachelor relationship I can recall in recent memory outside of maybe Nikki and Juan Pablo. And I’m not sure why, exactly. If anything, I think people actually do like JoJo. It’s just that they probably aren’t crazy about Jordan. Hypothetically, if she were to go on the show, I think she’d still be at least somewhat popular. And if she surprises people with her dancing, who knows how far she could go?

Of course, that’s if she really does end up signing on to joining the cast. We’ll find out the Dancing With the Stars Season 23 cast next Tuesday. Until then, let us know what you think about JoJo possibly joining the show in the comments!
