The Bachelorette 2016 Results: Who Went Home In Episode 6?

The results are in for The Bachelorette 2016 Episode 6, as Jordan has now become public enemy No. 1!

In a way, I kind of feel bad for JoJo. I can’t think of a season in recent memory that focused more on guys sniping at each other like school marms than on the Bachelorette herself. I have no idea what James T. thought it would accomplish to complain to JoJo about how he felt Jordan was entitled. I like James T., but it was a lousy move to make on his part, and all the worse because he doesn’t really defend it when confronted by Jordan later on. No, he’d rather explain his rationale to the camera in a private confessional. I mean, seriously, if you think Jordan is only here for the fame, then actually say so when you get called out on trying to throw the guy under the bus!

But I digress, as we got plenty of eliminations before the Rose Ceremony, as one man went home during a one-on-one date, and another was a shock elimination during the 2-on-1 in which JoJo went out with Derek and Chase.

So who went home? Check out the results below:

Received Roses

Luke (received group date rose)
Chase (received 2-on-1 date rose)
James T.

Wells (eliminated during one-on-one date)
Derek (eliminated during two-on-one date)

The big shocker here is that, when it came down to Alex and James T. during the Rose Ceremony, JoJo freaked out and had to have a talk with Chris Harrison. She told him that she just couldn’t hand out that final rose, so they came up with a compromise and added a second rose, so that JoJo didn’t have to get rid of either man. Is this the first Rose Ceremony where roses were handed out, but no one went home? Whether it was or it wasn’t, I thought this was an interesting way of reiterating that the star pretty much makes the rules. With that said, I wasn’t exactly crazy about Alex’s sour grapes, throwing James T. under the bus and proclaiming his rose “a pity rose” during the final confessional of the episode.

I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention the potential Derek has as the next Bachelor, since he had one of the more emotional exits this show has featured in some time. It was hard not to feel bad for him as he broke down in the car, as JoJo and Chase danced and kissed while an opera singer belted “Don’t Cry For Me, Argentina”. At the very least, he seems like a shoo-in for Bachelor In Paradise.

But what did you think of the results? Sound off in the comments!
