‘The Bachelor’ Star Becca Tilley Shades ‘Ben and Lauren’ Spinoff
The Bachelor star Becca Tilley has some words to fans who bought into the drama surrounding Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell on the series premiere of Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?, the couple’s spinoff show.
The premiere featured some controversy when Ben agreed to lunch with his ex, former Bachelorette JoJo Rodgers, and her fiance, Jordan Rodgers, without first consulting Lauren. This led to awkward questions of whether Ben was over JoJo, and whether JoJo was truly over Ben. After all, it’s been less than a year since JoJo and Ben dated on The Bachelor. Although Lauren was ultimately Ben’s choice, it can be hard to ignore just how close he may have come to choosing JoJo, his other finalist.
But Becca assures fans that all the drama was more manipulation than anything else, posting a tweet shading the show:
Pretty sure JoJo is over Ben. Pretty sure Ben is over JoJo. Pretty sure Lauren & JoJo are friends. And pretty sure producers pushed that.?

JoJo agreed with her friend, responding to the tweet:
@beccatilley5 & I'm pretty sure you're right Rebecca! ?

I mean, is anyone really surprised it’s manufactured? I can’t think of a reason for why Ben would agree to meet with JoJo without consulting Lauren unless it was for the show, because I can’t imagine Ben would do something that stupid. But then, this is reality TV, and any number of crazy things can happen, both manufactured and otherwise. I guess we’ll see as Ben and Lauren’s season rolls on. But I wouldn’t expect for this to be the last we hear of someone from the Bachelor Nation commenting on the show.
