Tesla To Prioritize Model 3 Reservations To Current Tesla Owners Not Non-Owners
Looks like the “affordable” Tesla Model 3 will be further out of reach for its target market. If you happen to NOT own a Tesla or work for Tesla, your wait for one just got a little longer.
Fresh off the news that Tesla will be prioritizing reservations of the new model to their own employees, the company sent an e-mail to current Tesla owners that they will get priority in reserving the new car as well.
The company wrote:
As a current owner who has supported Tesla and our mission, your reservation will take priority and be placed ahead of non-owners.
There are currently 15,000 Tesla employees and a user base of over 100,000 owners according to Elektrek.
The Model 3 be will unveiled in Los Angeles on March 31.
