Tesla Misses 2016 Delivery Goal, But Outperforms Projections In China (VIDEO)
Well, it’s a good news/bad news situation for Tesla: although the automaker missed its 2016 delivery goal, they actually overperformed in China.
According to a report by CNBC, Tesla delivered 76,000 cars in 2016, which is a narrow miss on the projected goal of 80,000 cars in the year. However, Tesla actually did great business in China for 2016, outperforming initial projections in the country. It’s an interesting report if you’re a data nerd like I am, or if you just want some analysis on how 2016 went for Tesla, despite all the bad press it received from a hit-or-miss autopilot system. I don’t think the observation that they should be called “Teflon” Motors is far off, considering how the bad press fails to ever stick to Elon Musk and Tesla. Watch the video below:
