Telltale Games Releases ‘Game of Thrones: Iron From Ice’ Trailer (VIDEO)

Telltale Games earned critical raves and multiple awards for its story-driven video games based on The Walking Dead and Fables. The company is now looking to earn similar raves for their latest adaptation, based on Game of Thrones.

Game of Thrones: Iron From Ice is a six-episode game, the first episode of which will be released by the end of this year for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, and iOS. In this launch trailer, we get reacquainted with some very familiar faces such as Tyrion, Cersei, Margaery Tyrell and Ramsay Bolton, with narration from Lena Headey…or rather, if it’s not Lena Headey, it’s an amazing sound-alike.

The story of the game will center on House Forrester, a Northern house affected by the huge changes that occurred at the end of Season 3 (Red Wedding, anybody?). Game of Thrones: Iron From Ice will be based on the TV show, but it wouldn’t be entirely surprising to see elements from the books incorporated. Either way, the show should be able to slake the thirst of even the most rabid Game of Thrones devotee until the premiere of the new season this Spring.
