‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Leah Messer Finally Talks About Losing Custody of Her Kids
As we previously reported, Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer recently lost primary custody of her 5-year-old twin daughters to former husband Corey Simms, who told a judge Messer was causing their daughters to be frequently late and even miss school.
While she was decidedly quiet about the whole thing originally, Messer has finally broken her silence — albeit to a major magazine.
Said the MTV star to Us Weekly after hearing the custody decision, “It was like a slap in the face.”
Messer is currently trying to reverse the court’s decision and get 50/50 joint custody with Simms, claiming she has time-stamped proof that her girls were really arriving at school on time.
“I feel like they should have both of us in their lives,” she explained. “At the end of the day, my kids are going to be happy, and I don’t care what I have to do to make them happy.”
Meanwhile, Corey and his wife Miranda are expecting their first child together, a girl named Remi who will be Simm’s third daughter overall.
