Stuart Scott dead at 49

Stuart Scott, the longtime ESPN sports anchor, died on Sunday. He was 49.

Scott died of cancer.

He was first diagnosed with the disease in 2007.

In July 2014, Scott received the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance at the ESPYs where he gave a moving speech about beating cancer by how you live.

He said:

“When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live.”
