Star Wars: Episode VIII Title Revealed!

The title for Star Wars: Episode VIII has been revealed! But what will the next chapter in the Star Wars Saga be called?

The official Star Wars website released an image with the new title: Star Wars: Episode VII – The Last Jedi. One would have to think that a teaser trailer is on the way, considering the first teaser for The Force Awakens came out over a year before the movie was released. Then again, Disney and Lucasfilm might have been eager to get the first footage out there, since it had been the first new Star Wars movie in a decade. Either way, I’m anxious to see the first footage from the film, and whether this will be as ominous as The Empire Strikes Back. Check out the poster and the official title announcement below:

We have the greatest fans in this or any other galaxy. In appreciation of the fans, we wanted them to be the first to know the title of the next chapter in the Skywalker saga: STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI.

THE LAST JEDI is written and directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski.

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is scheduled for release December 15, 2017.
