Slipknot Singer Corey Taylor Slaps WWE Star Baron Corbin at NXT Event (VIDEO)
Slipknot singer Corey Taylor was in attendance at a WWE NXT event in Sacramento, California on Saturday, sitting at ringside as Samoa Joe went one-on-one with Baron Corbin.
Corbin and Taylor have had a feud brewing for some time, as WWE showed the two having a staredown with each other during an interview for Alternative Press. With Slipknot on tour and playing San Bernardino, California over the weekend, it made sense for Taylor to be in attendance to escalate the feud. Towards the end of the match between Corbin and Samoa Joe, Corbin got up in Taylor’s face and pushed him around, shouting, “Slipknot ain’t nobody in my house!” Taylor’s response? A ROUGH open-palmed slap across the face. Seriously, Taylor just walloped this guy. Watch the video below:
Corbin isn’t on the WWE main roster just yet, but as a WWE NXT star, it’s not at all beyond the realm of possibility that he could show up at Wrestlemania this year as part of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale. And hey, if Vince hires another music act to play the big show, maybe it’ll be Slipknot, and this feud can continue on the biggest stage of them all. Granted, the world might not exactly be clamoring for it now, much less in six months. But Vince McMahon is exactly the type of guy who’d love the headlines, however they come.
