‘Shameless’ Star Danika Yarosh Joins ‘Heroes Reborn’

One of the stars of Showtime’s Shameless is headed to NBC for Heroes Reborn.

Danika Yarosh, who played Debbie’s mischievous friend Holly on Shameless, has been cast as a series regular in the upcoming 13-episode limited series revival of Tim Kring’s Heroes. Her role is unknown at the moment, so she could be a hero, or she could be a villain. Hell, she could be taking over for Hayden Panettiere as the new blonde teen du jour for the series. But whatever the role, I’m confident she’ll do a fine job with the part.

The 16-year-old Yarosh joins a cast that includes former Chuck star Zachary Levi and Once Upon A Time alum Robbie Kay. In addition, Jack Coleman will reprise his role from the original series as Noah Bennet.

The series is expected to premiere later this year. Here’s hoping a trailer comes soon! Heroes was one of my favorite shows of all-time, and I thought it got canceled right as it was getting back into a proper groove with Season Four. I’ve been dying to know what happened after the series finale, since it ridiculously ended on a cliffhanger with Claire Bennet revealing her abilities to the world. The show had so much unrealized potential, and I’m stoked NBC is giving it another chance, even if it won’t necessarily be the same show as before.
