LOGO announced the premiere date for RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7 but one of the show’s mainstays since the start is out of the judging panel: Santino Rice.

Instead he was replaced by Ross Mathews and Carson Kressley.

Boo! I love Santino!

In a statement to the media, Executive Producer RuPaul said: “Yes, Virginia, there is a gay Santa Claus! I asked for a new, wickedly funny, smart and experienced judge…and I got two! Ross and Carson are the perfect addition to the ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ family because they’re not just show biz experts, they’re superfans and longtime lovers of the art of drag.”

Santino was a contestant on Project Runway and was one of that show’s most celebrated designers before boarding Drag Race.

Ross Mathews started off on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno as an intern before becoming a mainstay on E! red carpet shows. Carson Kressley meanwhile was one of the most well-known stars of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy on Bravo in the 2000s. Not bad replacements really for Santino, but still…

The guest judges for the 2015 season include Ariana Grande, Jessica Alba, Demi Lovato, John Waters, Kat Dennings, Kathy Griffin, Olivia Newton-John, Alyssa Milano, Jordin Sparks, Mel B and more.

The seventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race premieres on March 2, 2015 on LOGO.
