Sam Smith Has Vocal Chord Hemorrhage, Cancels Australian Tour

Sam Smith announced on Tuesday that his Australian Tour has been canceled due to “a small hemorrhage on vocal chords.” The “Stay With Me” singer said to look out for rescheduled dates in December.

Sam Smith wrote on Instagram:

I am deeply, deeply, saddened to tell my Australian Fans, I have to cancel my Australian tour. I have been vocally exhausted for a while now however last night in Sydney I had a small haemorrhage on my vocal chords. The doctors have told me I need to fully rest until my vocal chorus have healed, otherwise this could become a huge long-term issue. I am so sorry to all who have bought tickets, I truly am. We will be announcing re-arranged dates very shorty.

This kills me.

He added:

I love you all and I am so sorry x please keep your eye on my Facebook/Twitter/Instagram for re arranged December dates x

Get well soon Sam!

I am glad that he is looking after his vocal health so he can have a very long career. However, I think Sam Smith is really just looking after his well-being as a whole, which started with his impressive weight loss. Earlier this month he revealed that he got weight loss tips from Beyonce.
