Sally Field Hilariously Skewers ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Franchise

Sally Field may have played Aunt May in the Spider-Man franchise reboot The Amazing Spider-Man, but that doesn’t mean she has to like it.

In fact, while talking to Howard Stern recently, Field was very candid about her feelings for the series.

As she told Stern on his podcast of both her 2012 and 2014 turn as the fictional Aunt, “It’s really hard to find a three-dimensional character in it. You work it as much as you can, but you can’t put 10 pounds of sh– in a five-pound bag.”

Field would go on to admit that she only agreed to do the film because it was likely to be the last one produced by her friend Laura Ziskin, who had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
