Ronda Rousey Rules Out Appearance at WWE Wrestlemania 32
After her appearance at Wrestlemania 31, in which she and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson put a beating on HHH and Stephanie McMahon, a lot of fans were expecting undefeated UFC star Ronda Rousey would return to WWE for a special tag team match at Wrestlemania 32. However, that doesn’t appear to be the case — even though Rousey wishes it were.
Ronda Rousey stated in an interview with FOX Sports that, although she wishes an appearance were possible, her schedule won’t allow for her to appear at WrestleMania 32 next April in Texas. More specifically, she’ll be filming the movie Mile 22 in Indonesia at the time of the big WWE event.
“I would love to but I’m going to be in Jakarta filming my movie,” Rousey confirmed. That said, she didn’t shit the door on making a surprise appearance sometime in the future, perhaps after her November fight at UFC 193 against Holly Holm. “If I was really going to be there, would you want to know or would you want to be surprised? I think a real wrestling fan would want to be surprised.”
I can’t help but agree. I’d love to have Ronda appear, but part of what made her Wrestlemania 31 appearance so great was that it was a complete surprise. I hope she does get to show up in WWE again, because she’s got tons of charisma and drawing power.
