Robert Durst Chilling Video Confession: ‘Killed Them All, Of Course’

The case surrounding real estate heir Robert Durst is getting more chilling and disturbing by the minute. Not only was he arrested Saturday in New Orleans on murder charges, the finale of the HBO documentary on his case, The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst, revealed blood-curdling audio of Durst confessing: “What the hell did I do? Killed them all, of course.”

Here’s the long and short of it: the 71-year-old Durst was arrested for the 2000 murder of friend Susan Berman in Beverly Hills, but The Jinx also presented evidence of Durst’s involvement in the disappearance and deaths of two other people as well. This is where the horrific audio confession comes in, as the final moments of the finale reveals Durst coming clean: Durst went into the bathroom, but was still wearing his wireless microphone from filming. It was here that he began rambling, and the infamous words spilled out. However, because of the small film crew and the fact that no one was looking for it specifically, it was two years before anyone actually noticed the audio. But with a bigger team of editors coming in to finish the project, the confession was inevitably discovered.

You can listen to the full confession below, although be forewarned. As disturbing as it is, it’s probably far more gross, considering the amount of bodily noises surrounding the audio. I suppose there’s an argument to be made that Durst is being sarcastic, and Lord knows, his lawyers will probably try to make it if this video is admitted into evidence. But it seems strange he’d talk this way when no one is around. Watch:
