‘Reality Check’: American Idol Winner Trent Harmon Weighs In On Farewell Season (VIDEO)
TVLine.com‘s resident reality TV expert Michael Slezak is back with an all-new episode of Reality Check!
In this special exit interview, Michael talks with American Idol 2016 winner Trent Harmon, who is here to discuss his triumphant run on the show, while also weighing in on the farewell season overall. In particular, Trent goes over his highs and lows in the competition, such as his struggle with mono during Hollywood Week, the performance of “Like I Can,” which his family didn’t particularly love, Scott Borchetta’s notes about the faces he makes while performing, and more positive moments like his season highlight performance of Sia’s “Chandelier”. Trent also talks about his failed audition for The Voice, his upcoming album and its apparent country direction, and the reasoning behind some of his more unexpected song choices. It’s a really engaging, informative interview that illustrates Trent’s reasoning for many of the choices he made in the competition. It’s definitely worth checking out, whether you were a fan of Trent or not. Watch the videos below:
