Prince’s Mythical Vault Of Unreleased Music Is Drilled Open
Prince’s mythical vault of unreleased music – said to contain an album a year for the next century – has been drilled open by the company given temporary authority over his estate.
Back in 2012, Prince was on “The View” and talked about the vault (via ABC News):
“One day, someone will release them. I don’t know that I’ll get to release them,” he said back in 2012. “There’s just so many.”
Prince was the only person who knew the code to the vault, so the Bremer Trust was forced to drill the vault located at Prince’s Paisley Park home in Chanhassen, Minnesota.
I’m actually a bit excited about this.
Just a bit bummed that he didn’t have a will, so now it’s literally a free for all. Would have been nice to see how he would have wanted the vault to be released (if ever he really wanted to).
I miss this guy so much!
