Prince Passed With Prescription Painkillers In His Possession – Police
The county sheriff investigating the death of Prince says that prescription painkillers were found in his possession when he died and in his house near Minnesota.
Officials are now asking the help of the Drug Enforcement Administration to determine who prescribed those pills and under what circumstances.
According to NBC News, law enforcement did not say what role the medications played in Prince’s death.
An autopsy was conducted last week, but the medical examiner said it would take weeks before the cause of death would be disclosed.
TMZ reported that Prince developed an addiction to the painkiller Percocet after hip surgery in 2006.
