Precious Long Lost Dog Reunited With Family After Nearly Two Years Apart (VIDEO)
When a dog is lost, the family holds out hope. But if a dog is lost for nearly two years, it’s hard to remain as optimistic. But then, some families never give up searching, and never lose hope that they might one day be reunited with their best friend again. And, in some cases, that hope is rewarded.
In this video, a man named Joe Karl is finally reunited with his dog, Gunnar, who’d gone missing 20 months earlier. It’s a unique story, in the sense that agents at the City of Pittsburgh Animal Care and Control were searching for the dog after encountering him in the neighborhood. Although they weren’t fast enough to catch him at first, repeated sightings helped narrow the search down. Eventually, he was found and scanned for a microchip. Not long after, Gunnar and Joe were reunited at last. It’s a reminder that hope can still be rewarded, even when it seems like all is lost. See their heartwarming reunion by watching the video below:
