Patrick Stewart might team up with Hugh Jackman in new ‘Wolverine’ movie
Patrick Stewart confirmed that he is in talks to appear in a new “Wolverine” movie opposite Hugh Jackman.
In an interview with Oregon Live over the weekend, Stewart said: “What I’m very excited about is that we have been talking about a Wolverine movie, which would team Hugh Jackman and myself together. Wolverine and Professor Xavier. That would be a very different sort of “X-Men” from the four movies that I’ve already done. I’m picturing a mismatched-buddies-road-movie sort of thing. I’d just like to get to drive his motorbike, I think.”
It has been widely reported that Stewart won’t be in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie, although his buddy Ian McKellen, who plays Magneto, will.
He added: “Yes, I understand that it seems to be very unlikely that I will be in the next “X-Men” movie, which is almost getting ready to start shooting in Montreal. [LAUGHS] But Magneto, Ian McKellen, is certainly going to be in it.”
Patrick Stewart currently stars in Match which opened Friday, Feb. 6 at the Living Room Theaters in Oregon.
