The trailer for “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” has been released. The sequel to the highest grossing DC Comics movie of all time comes out on December 20, 2023.
The final hold-out film from the “Snyderverse” stars Jason Momoa, Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Nicole Kidman. James Wan returns as director.

The initial reaction from fans seems to be excitement, but unfortunately, I’m a bit underwhelmed. Hopefully the film (and its box office performance at the end of the year) will be a nice send off to “what could have been.”
The last “Snyderverse”-connected film “The Flash” did so poorly, I don’t have high expectations for this one. (The last DCU film though, “Blue Beetle” is potentially tied to the James Gunn led DCU which replaced the “Snyderverse”.)
Will I watch this new Aquaman film? Yes. Probably.
