New ‘Jurassic World’ TV Spot Unleashes Indominus Rex (VIDEO)
It’s going to be open warfare between humans and dinosaurs when Jurassic World hits theaters this summer, as evidenced by the latest teaser.
Aired during last night’s surprising Season 5 finale of The Walking Dead, the new clip shows us a bit more of the carnage that’s just waiting to unfold in the film. Namely, tourists are getting plucked off the ground by murderous Pterosaurs, while personnel are getting picked off one-by-one by Indominus Rex. The new, genetically-modified dinosaur is intended to boost waning attendance at Jurassic Park, but she boosts its body count instead, as we learn from an unnerved Bryce Dallas Howard that the dino ate her own sibling, while a grizzled Chris Pratt informs us that the creature is “Hunting for sport.”
In addition to Pratt and Howard, the cast features Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson, B.D. Wong, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Irrfan Khan, Brian Tee, and Omar Sy. It’s directed by and produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley. The movie, from director Colin Trevorrow (who helmed the criminally under-seen Safety Not Guaranteed), is looking to reinvigorate the Jurassic Park franchise, and honestly, I think this movie could just be the movie this series needs. Hell, it’s still a longtime favorite of mine, even though its bad entries far outnumber its good so far. Here’s hoping Jurassic World rights the ship.
You can check out the latest TV spot below, and prepare for the release of Jurassic World on June 12.
