Netflix Renews ‘BoJack Horseman’ for Third Season
YES! YES, DAMMIT! This is probably the best news to come out of TCA summer press tour so far, as Netflix’s plans for 2016 just got a whole lot more equestrian.
Netflix has renewed BoJack Horseman for a third season. The animated series, which follows washed-up 90s sitcom star BoJack Horseman (Will Arnett) as he attempts a career resurgence in Hollywoo (the “D” was stolen, you see) is among the more critically acclaimed shows in the Netflix lineup, with the recently-released Season 2 scoring a whopping 90% on Metacritic.
The season three news was confirmed by the show’s Twitter handle:

Balancing outrageous comedy with some darker, more poignant elements makes BoJack Horseman one of the best shows on Netflix. Seriously, you’ll be shocked at how much you end up caring about the internal plight of an anthropomorphic horse. It’s a tremendous series, perhaps one of the best series that wider audiences are missing out on. Hopefully, the show grows an even bigger audience by the time Season 3 premieres in 2016. Either way, this is terrific news. Some of the cameos and recurring stars they got for Season 2 were incredible (Paul McCartney, Daniel Radcliffe, Lisa Kudrow, the return of Olivia Wilde), and I’m hoping they can find a way to top themselves for Season 3.
