Nelly Arrested for Felony Drug Possession (PHOTO)

Nelly is in hot water. The rapper’s tour bus was stopped in Tennessee for not having the necessary Dept. of Transportation sticker, but the end resulted in charges far more serious.

Nelly has been arrested for felony drug possession, as several illegal substances were discovered on his tour bus. In fact, the marijuana was the primary reason the state trooper continued his search of the tour bus after warning Nelly and co. about the missing sticker, as the smell of marijuana was strong enough to give the trooper probable cause.

But marijuana was the least of what was found, as cops reportedly recovered a baggie of crystal rocks that tested positive for meth, as well as a stash of guns including a .50 caliber pistol, a .45 caliber pistol, and a .500 magnum Smith and Wesson. More troubling for Nelly was the presence of roughly 100 small Ziploc bags commonly used for the sale of drugs, so the charge could become far harsher if law enforcement can prove the intent to sell.

Nelly was subsequently booked for possession of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia, while fellow passenger Brian Jones was held for possession of a handgun. So yeah, this is going to put a pretty big damper on The Main Event Tour with TLC and New Kids on the Block this summer.
