‘Relentlessly Gay’ Front Yard Gets Appropriate GoFundMe
A woman’s front yard in Maryland, decorated with rainbow-colored mason jars with the words “Love” and “Ohana,” was the subject of an angry letter from a Christian neighbor who wrote:
“Your yard is becoming Relentlessly Gay! Myself and Others in the neighborhood ask that you Tone It Down. This is a Christian area and there are Children. Keep it up and I will be Forced to call the Police on You. Your kind need to have Respect for GOD.”
Julie Baker, the owner of the house and yard, is a widow and mother of four and her friend Maeve Brigid wrote about the note on Facebook:
Ok. So a friend of mine made these awesome solar lamps for her garden. Happy rainbows for a garden makes sense, right?
Well, some special snowflake sent her this note.
I need ideas on how to mess with these people and show them what “relentlessly gay” can do.
Bonus points for exceptionally kid friendly ideas.
She then started a GoFundMe to help keep the yard “relentlessly gay.” One of the best uses of GoFundMe that I’ve seen!
