Naya Rivera Apologizes For Saying ‘Ethnics’ Shower Less Than ‘White People’ – VIDEO

Glee actress Naya Rivera was helping to co-host The View yesterday (Jan. 13) when talked turned to showering. Then Rivera brought up race and things got weird.

I think that white people shower a lot more than ethnics,” Rivera claimed on the show. “I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing.

The actress/singer continued, “My mom is half black, half Puerto Rican. She showers every day, so I can say this. But I’m now married to a white man and he showers a lot, like two, three times a day.”

The husband in question is Ryan Dorsey. He and Rivera married on the down low back in July of 2014 three-months after ending her engagement to big Sean.

Added Naya of her own hygiene, “A dermatologist says you are only supposed to shower once or twice every three days, so I’m right on the mark.”

Which is true, dermatologists recommend showering every 48 to 72 hours, but that has nothing to do with race and everything to do with how the human body works.

Rivera would go on to apologize for the comments, saying, “That was supposed to be a joke. Apparently it didn’t go over so well … I apologize if anyone was offended.”
