‘Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation’ Full-Length Trailer Released (VIDEO)
Yesterday, the teaser was released for Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation, but it offered only a hint of the full-scale action the sequel is looking to offer. The full-length trailer is now here, and with it comes a closer look at the high-stakes plot.
The Impossible Missions Force has been put on notice by The Syndicate, “a rogue nation trained to do what we do.” Or, as Simon Pegg’s Benji succinctly puts it, “an anti-IMF.” And so it is that Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt reunites the gang for what could be the IMF’s last mission. The all-star cast includes Alec Baldwin as the Head of the CIA, Jeremy Renner as William Brandt, Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell and franchise newcomer Rebecca Ferguson as the female lead. She was downright superb in The White Queen, and it looks like she could potentially be even better here. If nothing else, she gets to kick some serious ass here, taking charge of things from the previously cool, collected Ethan (who, while not always in control of a situation, at least seemed to have some idea of what was going on).
It’s an awesome trailer, and on the exciting side of things, particularly the closing seconds of the trailer, which gave me that sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. (I hate heights something fierce.) Anyway, I’m burying the lede here. The real star is the trailer, which you can watch below. Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation hits theaters on July 31.
