Michelle Obama: ‘Now we’re feeling what not having hope feels like’ (VIDEO)
First Lady Michelle Obama sat down with Oprah Winfrey to talk about her husband’s legacy of hope. In an excerpt aired on “CBS This Morning,” she appeared somber reflecting on the last 8 years and what is coming for us with the new administration.
“I think that we feel the difference now. See, now we’re feeling what not having hope feels like,” she said. “Hope is necessary. It’s a necessary concept. What else do you have, if you don’t have hope?” she posits. “What do you give your kids if you can’t give them hope?”
