Michael Graves Kicked Off UFC Card Over Domestic Violence Arrest

MMA star and former Ultimate Fighter finalist Michael Graves will not be fighting on the upcoming UFC Fight Night 100 card in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and it’s all because of a domestic violence arrest.

As it turns out, Graves has been kicked off the show after being arrested on misdemeanor battery charges related to a domestic violence incident occurring in Atlanta, GA. Graves had been scheduled to fight Sergio Moraes on the show, scheduled for November 19. But UFC took quick, decisive action once news of Graves’s arrest broke, releasing a statement announcing his removal from the card.

“The UFC organization is aware that Michael Graves was arrested over the weekend on a misdemeanor battery charge. The organization takes this situation seriously and is in the process of gathering more information,” UFC in an official statement. “Graves has been removed from his scheduled bout on Nov. 19 as a result of the pending legal matter.”

Graves is being held on $5,000 bond, and he is still in custody. So it’s unlikely this matter is going to be resolved any time soon.
