Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire, Dead at 74
Maurice White, co-founder of the band Earth, Wind & Fire, has died. He was 74.
TMZ reports that White died in his sleep Thursday morning in L.A. He had been battling Parkinson’s since 1992.
Earth, Wind & Fire was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and Maurice was inducted solo into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2010. The band’s hits include “September,” “Let’s Groove” and “Boogie Wonderland.”
So sad! 2016 is just churning out these death notices of celebs non-stop. I’m gutted.
