Masi Oka Joins ‘Heroes Reborn’ as Hiro Nakamura
Masi Oka will return as Hiro Nakamura for Heroes Reborn, the 13-episode event series that will serve as both a sequel and continuation of Heroes. Oka joins Jack Coleman, who will reprise his role as Noah Bennet/HRG, as the only cast member from the original series to sign on for Heroes Reborn so far. Oka will have a recurring role in the series, starring across multiple episodes of the series, which is set to premiere this fall.
“I’m excited to return to my Heroes roots,” Oka said in a press release. “Hiro Nakamura was such an inspirational role to play, and I’m hoping the fans will enjoy seeing him back on TV.”
From creator Tim Kring, Heroes Reborn touts a cast of franchise newcomers that includes Zachary Levi, Ryan Guzman, Robbie Kay, Danika Yarosh, Judith Shekoni, Kiki Sukezane, Henry Zebrowski, and Gatlin Green.
Hopefully, we get sword-wielding Hiro Nakamura, although I’m admittedly fond of the usual, dorky, excitable Hiro Nakamura as well. Either way, this is great news, and I couldn’t be possibly be more excited to see Heroes Reborn come together.
