Manny Pacquiao Offers To Fight Conor McGregor If Mayweather Won’t
Manny Pacquiao is looking to get back into fighting by offering to take the big money fight that his longtime rival, Floyd Mayweather, is refusing to take: against UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
In a recent interview, Pacquiao was asked about facing McGregor, to which the boxer responded, “In boxing? In boxing (I would) but not in (UFC), just boxing.”
For his part, Pacquiao seems to think McGregor would have a tough time transitioning from MMA to boxing, noting that despite their similarities, they’re two completely different sports.
“I’m sure he will be moving around. I didn’t see it [footage of Conor sparring]. But if we are talking about Conor McGregor and boxing, it’s different. Boxing is different than MMA.”
This is probably why, when it comes down to it, Pacquiao doesn’t think McGregor would really take Mayweather. When asked if he thought McGregor would have a chance against Mayweather, his responded simply, “I don’t think so.”
But what do you think? Could McGregor stand a chance against Mayweather? Could he take Pacquiao? Sound off in the comments!
