Malaysia bans ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, calls it ‘Pornography’

Malaysia has banned Fifty Shades of Grey. The Malaysian Film Censorship Board denied a certificate to the much anticipated movie as it contained scenes that are “not natural sexual content.”

The film opens in the U.S. on Feb. 13 starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Doran.

According to a report from Variety:

“The board made a decision in view of the film containing scenes that are not of natural sexual content,” said Abdul Halim Abdul Hamid, head of the Malaysian Film Censorship Board. The film “is more pornography than a movie,” he said.

This of course, like all censorship, will spurn interest of Fifty Shades of Grey even more in Malaysia. Myopia is everywhere, how sad. Let the people see it and let them decide!
