LL Cool J Will Host the 2015 Grammy Awards

Another year, another Grammy Awards hosted by LL Cool J.

Yes, CBS has confirmed that LL Cool J will host the 2015 Grammy Awards, but while some might have preferred fresh blood in the emcee role, the rapper has loads of experiencing hosting the show. If nothing else, his hiring leads me to believe CBS wanted a safe, reliable, in-house choice for host, as this also allows CBS to promote from within, considering he’s the star of the network’s NCIS: Los Angeles.

“I’m thrilled to again be part of Music’s Biggest Night,” LL Cool J said in a statement. “The performances and moments you see on the Grammy stage are nothing less than amazing throughout the years and this year’s show is shaping up to be one you will never forget.”

LL Cool J first started hosting the ceremony in 2012, and has been a Grammys fixture ever since. This year, he’ll be hosting a ceremony that will include performances from Common, John Legend, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Miranda Lambert, Ariana Grande, Sam Smith, and others yet to be announced.

The 2015 Grammy Awards will air live February 8 on CBS, and we can’t wait. Predict which stars you think will take home music’s biggest prize by checking out the complete list of nominees, and hitting up the comments with your thoughts!
